This tuition-free, 16-hour Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training course will provide the participant with an overall view of how contraband is concealed in vehicles and the ethical requirements of law enforcement officers in the search of suspected vehicles. At the end of the training the participant will have knowledge of the latest techniques/methods used by criminals and criminal organizations to prevent detection of contraband. The class will also explore traditional techniques used by law enforcement in the search for contraband and demonstrate how ineffective they are against current concealment techniques. The techniques taught in this class will greatly enhance the ability of the student in the detection and apprehension of criminals while conducting traffic stops.

Instructor Mike Conner is a Sergeant with the Maryland State Police and is the Commander of the Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement Team – the most successful interdiction team in Maryland’s history! Mike has seized or contributed to the seizure of over $14,000,000.00 in US currency and thousands of pounds of cocaine, marijuana, heroin, MDMA, prescription pills, and other illicit narcotics. Mike has located over 200 false compartments and has arrested hundreds of criminals during traffic stops for various crimes to include: theft, murder, terrorist activities, money laundering, drug trafficking, gun trafficking, cigarette smuggling, and even recovered two murder victims being transported along I-95. Mike has trained thousands of law enforcement officers across the United States. The techniques taught by Mike will greatly enhance the ability of the student in the detection and apprehension of criminals while conducting traffic stops.
