    8:30 am - 4:30 pm

An 8 hour training seminar for experienced members of Law Enforcement Honor Guard teams.

What this is: With the goal of connecting agencies and forging bonds, team leaders are invited to study and discuss recent honor guard duties. Attending leaders are encouraged to bring outlines/plans of events that they have put into practice, with the goal of allowing other agencies viewing what they may be able to adopt or a resource they have never thought to call on. Even if you haven’t had the opportunity to participate in an officer funeral, if you could be called upon as an Honor Guard leader to plan and implement this powerful task, this is something you should attend. Any officer who would be involved in planning from an honor guard standpoint is encouraged to attend.

What this is not: A basic training session for new honor guard members to learn drill and ceremony.

Topics include but not limited to:

  • Funerals
  • Color Guards
  • Outside assistance
  • Resources
  • Police Week
  • Member Support
