As current events unfold and weapon systems evolve, it is more important than ever to train with your equipment to achieve and maintain a level of proficiency and confidence to get you through whatever you may be faced with. Low Power Variable Optics (LPVO) have become a popular option to bridge the gap between a Red Dot Sight (RDS) and a conventional riflescope. As a result, modern LPVO equipped AR-15 style carbines have proven to be some of the most versatile and capable weapon systems in use today. Precision accuracy with a magnified optic and the ability to strike hits at distance requires data, knowledge, and experience in building a stable shooting position. Quick engagements at close ranges with an LPVO also requires repetitions, an understanding of the weapon system, and confidence in situations requiring split second decisions.
BlackBag Consulting’s 2-Day LPVO course will address the capabilities of your weapon system with a LPVO. Using zero procedures, actual velocities of your chosen ammunition from your weapon, basic ballistic understanding, building and utilization of ballistic charts, and application of marksmanship fundamentals, this 2-day will help build a solid foundation and knowledge base to establish that confidence with your LPVO.
This course will be the length of the training day (8 hours each day), combined with environmental exposure, and covering varied terrain throughout the day. 100% of the course is conducted outside. Participants should have the ability to stand, walk, shoot, train, and soak-up knowledge for the duration of the course.
