This course is designed to deliver the skills and training necessary to create

safe and effective scenarios, and conduct live fire training for all levels within

law enforcement. Not just SWAT Teams but Narcotic Units, Detectives, Patrol

Officers, and even Cadets.


This course will provide a comprehensive program in the development,

planning and implementation of “live fire” Shoot-House training. Students will

receive a broad range of instruction in all aspects of designing and instructing

Shoot-House training, to include:

• Minimum Standards

• Student Evaluation Techniques and Drills

• Safety Protocols

• Target Placement and Documentation Requirements

• Standard Operating Procedures and Department Policies

• Minimum Standards and Weapons Manipulations

• Scenario Based Training Development and Instructional Techniques

• Target Placement and Ballistic Capabilities

• Emergency Procedures and Critiques, and Progressive Instruction

At the successful completion of this course, students will have Shoot-House

sample lesson plans, S.O.P.s, and training module descriptions, along with

range exercise that complement Shoot-House skill sets.


• Learn to evaluate and develop student skills while setting up live fire scenarios

for all levels of law enforcement.

• Enhance the safety and effectiveness of training within a ballistic structure

with the use of live fire.

• Learn the latest instructional techniques in the use of close quarter firearm




Basic firearms proficiency and instructor

background. Each student must be a sworn law

enforcement or correctional officer, federal agent

or active military. These courses are not available

to civilians. Students must pass a minimum skills

firearms course on the first day in order to continue

the week of instruction.

• Normal duty assigned gear to include body

• Weather related clothing, baseball cap with


• Long-weapon with sling, three mags, and 500

rounds of ammo

• Handgun with duty rig, three mags, 1200

rounds of ammo
